Our Story

As of September 2021, barbELLE health will be establishing ourselves in St. Martin’s Community Centre, Piercestown, Co. Wexford. ​We describe our service as providing the best bits of a Personal Trainer, Nutritionist, Group Strength & Conditioning Coach, Project Manager and questionable DJ all in one bundle!​

Being Holistic means we work with you to improve all aspects of your health; physical of course – but also, emotional, mental and social.

The Coaching Philosophy

Lift

Strength training is at the heart of our programming as it is hugely important at all stages of life. ​
Research shows it’s effects on healthy aging, confidence, mental health, sports performance, injury management, bone density, weight loss and much more!​
Our group coaching blends strength training with fun fitness challenges.​
Members will have a community app to log workouts and spur each other on.​

Laugh

If you don’t enjoy the process, you won’t see it through. ​
We endeavour to make all sessions enjoyable, inclusive and welcoming. ​
We look out for our new members especially as we know how hard it is to take that first step. ​
Our holistic approach means empowering you to be strong, confident and at peace with your body. ​
This gives you the best chance of cultivating enjoyable, sustainable movement routines and a positive body image.

Eat

We believe good nutrition is a skill which everyone can build given the right tools and support.​
We aim for progress over perfection.​
We match our approach to the individual’s needs and goals.​
We educate members on safe weight loss to avoid the disordered eating tendencies that come with diet culture.​
To us, healthy eating means honouring your health and taste buds without aggressive food rules.

Repeat

This principle is all about cultivating consistency and resilience i.e what you do when you’re not in the gym.​
Our game plans will help you with time management, planning & prioritising and scenario planning for social events.​
All game plans will have Rest, Recovery and Self-Care challenges.​
Game plans are dynamic; meaning they are constantly reviewed and updated to reflect where you are at any given point.​
There is no failure, only feedback!
